Membership Update – Digital Membership Cards

The club has recently moved to a new point of sale system that integrates directly with the RFU’s Game Management System (GMS). This change improves how memberships are recorded, verified, and managed, and supports the long-term running of the club.

Digital Membership Cards

Memberships are now accessed using a digital membership card, issued in the form of a QR code. This can be saved to a smartphone (for example Apple Wallet or Samsung/Google Wallet) and shown when required around the clubhouse, including at the bar.

Existing Members

If you currently hold a Social Membership or Season Pass, you do not need to purchase a new membership.

The club will take care of transferring your existing membership into the new system. There is no additional cost and no need to re-buy. Once transferred, your membership will be available digitally via your club account.

RFU GMS Club Account

To access your digital membership card, you will need a club account on the RFU’s Game Management System (GMS).

If you do not already have an account, you can create one using the club’s link below. Creating an account using this link will automatically link your account to the club:

Once your account is set up, you can sign up, renew, or access your membership as required.

Additional Information

Under the previous membership system, an email address and date of birth were not required. These details are now necessary as part of the RFU GMS platform.

Providing this information allows the club to:

  • Maintain accurate membership records
  • Communicate directly with members
  • Share fixtures, results, events, and important club updates

All personal information is used solely for club purposes and handled in line with data protection requirements. It is not shared with third parties.

No Smartphone? No Problem

If you do not have a smartphone, you will not be disadvantaged by this change.

Please mention this to a member of the team and we will:

  • Print a QR code to be placed on your existing membership card, or
  • Look your membership up on the system when required

Why We’re Making This Change

This move allows the club to manage memberships more effectively, apply member benefits correctly, and better support our sponsors.

While it is a change from how things have always been done, it puts the club in a stronger position going forward and helps ensure the club continues to run smoothly.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please speak to a member of the committee or bar management team.
