At Chard Rugby Football Club, the welfare and safety of every player, volunteer, and visitor is our highest priority.
We are committed to providing a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where everyone — especially children, young people, and vulnerable adults — can enjoy rugby and all that club life has to offer.
We fully adopt and adhere to the RFU Safeguarding Policy, as well as all related guidance and best practice from England Rugby. Our aim is to ensure that every person involved in the club feels respected, supported, and protected from harm or abuse.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. All coaches, managers, and volunteers who work with young people are DBS checked, and are expected to complete relevant RFU training to maintain the highest standards of awareness and conduct.
If you ever have a concern — whether it relates to a player, coach, volunteer, parent, or spectator — please report it immediately.
